How would you describe Candid Carpentry?
Candid Carpentry exists to demystify woodworking products and to inform and equip consumers to make more educated purchases.
We like knowing what we're paying for, and we think you do too! If you knew exactly how much each spice and ingredient cost as well as the time that went into your steak dinner, maybe you'd make it yourself, or maybe you'd feel better about paying $25 plus a tip. Either way, you'd be able to make a more informed decision (and likely, you'd get inspired to try it out for yourself sometime)! That's what we're all about: we want to promote passion and excitement for woodworking as a whole.
And who knows, maybe we'll make some woodworking advocates while we're at it!
